Incheon Airport taxi FAQ
Where do I find taxis at Incheon Airport?
Exit through arrivals (floor 1 for T1, floor 1 for T2) and follow signs to the Taxi stand. General taxis are on the left; deluxe (black) taxis are on the right. Do not accept rides from drivers approaching you inside the terminal.
Should I take a taxi or the AREX train?
The AREX Express train runs directly from Incheon Airport to Seoul Station in 43 minutes for ₩9,500. For most destinations in central Seoul, the train + subway is cheaper than a direct taxi. However, a taxi makes sense if you have heavy luggage, are traveling in a group of 3+, or arrive late at night.
How much is a deluxe (black) taxi from the airport?
Deluxe taxis (모범택시) start at ₩7,000 base fare and have higher per-km rates. They do not apply the night surcharge, so for late-night arrivals a deluxe taxi can sometimes be comparable to a general taxi with the 40% surcharge.
Can I pay with a foreign card?
Yes. All taxis at Incheon Airport accept Visa and Mastercard. The payment terminal is in the back seat.
